WHAT IS AN EXPERT NETWORK?

An Expert Network can be loosely defined as a network of people who provide advice in a professional capacity. Expert networks are based on the premise that a mix of expert opinions, with each expert giving an independent and objective viewpoint, is better than just one opinion and allows for more informed decision-making.

WHAT ARE MY OBLIGATIONS AS AN ASIA CEO NETWORK EXPERT?

Confidentiality: You must not disclose material, non-public information about any public or private company, organisation or institution.

Avoid Conflicts of Interest: You must not consult where the topic is the Experts current employer or a company for whom they are an officer or director. You can't speak about anything that you have made agreement to not talk about.

Discretion: You must not reveal the name of the Client or topic of discussion.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BY PARTICIPATING IN A CONSULTATION?

Before agreeing to a consultation, be sure that your involvement is not counter to agreements you may have with a current or former employer, or any other person or third party.

The client is seeking your general understanding of trends in your industry so take care do not disclose trade secrets or confidential information or any material, nonpublic information.

If you feel that you are being asked to deviate from the above then terminate the consultation and notify Asia CEO Network right away.

WHAT IS MATERIAL NONPUBLIC INFORMATION?

According to U.S. federal securities laws, material nonpublic information includes information that is not publicly available and where there is a substantial likelihood that a reasonable investor would consider the information important in making an investment decision. For example, it would affect the stock price.

WHAT ABOUT INFORMATION I GET FROM MY FRIENDS?

If information you receive from your friends is not publicly available and is material, it should not be discussed with anyone, regardless of your source.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE CLIENT ASKS ME DIRECTLY TO SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION?

Notify Asia CEO Network so that we can confirm the consultation with the client. This will ensure you get paid.
